Neighbouring plates prevent unrealistic plate behaviour with no need for complex rheologies. Because, at the Earth's surface, plates form a continuous shell, they should not be neglected. %G English %2 https://insu.hal.science/insu-00381763/document %2 https://insu.hal.science/insu-00381763/file/yamato-GRL-2009.pdf %L insu-00381763 %U https://insu.hal.science/insu-00381763 %~ INSU %~ UNIV-RENNES1 %~ CNRS %~ GR %~ OSUR %~ UR1-HAL %~ UR1-SDLM %~ UR1-SDLMJONCH %~ GR-3T %~ TEST-UNIV-RENNES %~ TEST-UR-CSS %~ UNIV-RENNES %~ UR1-ENV %~ GR-DEMO
