(2013). The mountains of North-East Greenland are not remnants of the Caledonian topography. A comment on Pedersen et al. (2012): Tectonophysics]. We find that new vitrinite reflectance measurements from one location in the region may suggest a more complicated post-Caledonian evolution than proposed by Pedersen et al. (2012) for the southernmost part of the studied area. Overall, however, we cannot reconcile our AFT data set with a complete obliteration of the topography in late Paleozoic times, followed by episodic post-Caledonian exhumation and re-burial, as suggested by Japsen et al. (2013). %G English %L insu-00912624 %U https://insu.hal.science/insu-00912624 %~ INSU %~ UNIV-RENNES1 %~ UR2-HB %~ CNRS %~ GR %~ OSUR %~ UR1-HAL %~ UR1-SDLM %~ UR1-SDLMJONCH %~ GR-3T %~ UNIV-RENNES2 %~ TEST-UNIV-RENNES %~ TEST-UR-CSS %~ UNIV-RENNES %~ INRAE %~ UR1-ENV %~ GR-DEMO
