Investigating the Detectability of Organic Compounds in Smectite Interlayer Sites with Flight-Like Techniques

Résumé

Laser desorption/ionization MS and pyrolysis-GCMS derivatization were able to detect the amino acid glycine present in smectite interlayer sites, while Raman spectroscopy indicated spectral variations potentially due to interlayer glycine.
